OUR VETERANS NEED US NOW MORE THAN EVER
OUR VETERANS NEED US NOW MORE THAN EVER
Friend:
This has been quite a year. It started with the cancellation of a Warrior Camp program in the first quarter and our programming continues to be on hold because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We know that Veterans are at an even higher risk of suicide due to the many life disruptions brought on by this virus and the subsequent economic repercussions. This makes it all the more important that those of us who work with them be fully prepared to re-engage in face to face programming as soon as it is safe to do so. You've heard from several veterans that this program has been life saving, and your support right now is critical to the many many veterans out there who need our services.
What we have accomplished during this pandemic so far:
These are undoubtedly trying and unprecedented times for our entire community. The COVID-19 pandemic has required us all to stay at home and distance ourselves from loved ones, friends, and colleagues alike. These physical safety measures have left United States Veterans unable to access traditional forms of community engagement necessary for their mental health. Isolated Veterans are at increased risk of suicide, and they need our support more than ever before. Accordingly, TRR is offering an exciting and informative webinar series as a way to keep our community together during this time of crisis and uncertainty.
“Isolation is a killer in the veteran community. It’s something we fight every single day.” Jeremy Harrell, Veteran’s Club INC Founder and CEO, Kentucky Veteran of the Year, and Warrior Camp Alumni.
